What’s the motivation behind the new generation Sri Lankan Filmmakers? Are they putting a genuine effort to make good films?

I think most of them dont make good movies.cos they always tri to do some bullshit love stories(not good love stories)or copy hindi movies.they dont think genuine.
But there many youngs who can do genuine movies(think genuine).The problum is i think they dont have a chace to show that, mainly a place to study and learn abt the movie making.

In Sri Lankan there are two types of young filmmakers.

    * Those who have no idea about filmmaking but still make films (they some how has the money) and end up making bad films. (ex: Julia –premiered in NFC theater at the end of euro film festival – making a BIG BAD JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!
      * And those whose think they can make films (who has some education from some institutions) but lacks the cinematic instinct!!! (They think they know too much and never put the effort to learn anything from anyone) And end up making more bad films (ex: Rosa Kelle).

      To me both are the same. Because the end result is they all make very bad movies.       JOOBB_SMILEYLAUGHING

      I have seen most of the short films that has made by Sri Lankan film makers and out of those hundreds of short films there were only 4 or 5 films that I really liked. The same happens with the feature films also. But I’m not trying to blame the film makers for that because they all are part of this disorganized society. I believe the cinema is a reflection of the society. So what ells can you expect from a miserable society like this???
