In the climax scene he brings the bad guys down….there you are you have seen a perfect hero a true American in action and it is a perfect finish for a perfect day.

Does the movie end there with an empty pop corn bag and a good time with your friends? No I don’t think so the climax is yet to come… well they say that the pen is mightier than the sword it is true because when you read something it creates images (visuals) in your mind, these visual images are so powerful that they last for a life time . I would say film is mightier than the pen because it is the ready made version of the visual images that can be created by reading. So the visual images that had been put into your mind by this cowboy film would stay silent deep in your subconscious until the time is right for it surface.

It is September 12^th 2001 president Bush addressing the nation after the twin tower attacks says in the good old cowboy accent “We will hunt the enemy down” looking directly into the thousands of cameras which are telecasting these visuals live. you are sitting in the sofa at home watching the news the moment you see this image your subconscious recalls Client Eastwood saying “I’ll Hunt ya down n Kill ya” you say to your self looking at president bush there you are a perfect hero a true American. Now the cowboy film had reached its climax the images that was deep in your subconscious had surfaced and its time had come, it has helped you to identify a hero you have forgotten whatever moral values you had, the most powerful image in your mind now` is that hero that you have seen in that film.

Film is one of the most, if not the most powerful influencers in the present world. It is interesting to note that film actors who have entered into politics have done tremendously well due to their hero image in films from Ronald Regan who became president to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in Hollywood, I would not be mistaken if I say that south Indian politics is solely dependent on Kollywood (South Indian film industry) all the chief ministers of Tamil Nadu after MGR (an actor) had been part of the film industry in India. Film is such a popular thing in India that even the political posters of certain actor’s look like posters promoting a film with guns in their hand and with the dark shades on.

The fact that we should realize is that these visual images have the power and the capability of making or breaking the world. It is important that all film makers or for that matter all who deal with visual images should understand the power of this medium and handle it with care, at present most films which are released advocate violence and immorality except for a handful of films which promote moral values. It is the responsibility of all in the film industry to make sure that they give a moral message which would make a better tomorrow.
